God and Freedom

Not very often do my two blogs intersect, but due to current events, I do feel as though there is some intersect: Freedom. See, I believe that God as the Creator gave us free will. He chose to allow us to choose not to worship Him, knowing that some would choose that and have the consequence of hell.Everything else flows from that. In other words, God (who is omniscient) granted us freedom. I do not understand why He chose this, other than He loves us. It is a complete, uncompromising love. A love that He knew would have deadly repercussion  but a love is unwavering. America’s Founding Fathers recognized that and included it into the Constitution. The Bill of Rights doesn’t grant us those freedoms, it merely protects them from a tyrannical government.

Those rights are under attack and the general populace seems apathetic to even notice it. As long as they have their dose of reality TV and McDonalds, everything is copacetic. This is very frustrating for someone such as myself, who tends to see things in absolutes. There is no budging; no compromise. My God gave me this, who are you to take it away. Today it is guns, tomorrow it is privacy (already under attack), the next it is religion. We need to stop this assault in its tracks and stand up for our freedoms.

This is one of the greatest quotes ever!

This is how I feel, and I will not apologize for it.
